Milton Keynes-based health and safety software business has scooped double at a major regional manufacturing awards ceremony organised by Make UK, the manufacturers’ organisation.

The Make UK Midlands awards ceremony was held virtually with Riskex Limited picking up the Health & Safety Award. The company, which provides health and safety management software as well as a Covid-19 tool to organisations across the UK, picked up the award for Health and Safety, in recognition of how they responded to support businesses during the pandemic.  Safe2Day is a Covid-19 health assessment platform that helps employers assess who is fit to work and identify those who are vulnerable, as well as provide confidence to staff that Covid-19 transmission is being managed at source.

The Riskex team were also shortlisted in the Innovations category, in acknowledgement of their innovative thinking and quick response to address the workplace risks associated with Covid-19.

On winning the award, Mark Delo, Founder and CEO of Riskex said “We at Riskex were determined to do what we could to help our clients keep their people safe during the pandemic.  Winning the Make UK Midlands Award for Health and Safety means a lot to the team, I am very proud of their achievements and thank them for their dedication”.

Charlotte Horobin, Midlands Region Director for Make UK, said:

“These awards are a testament to the dynamic companies and individuals working within engineering and manufacturing. The sector has been at the heart of delivering during the crisis and as we re-build our economy there will be a bright future for companies and individuals that make the most of their talent.”

Riskex will now go forward to the national finals to compete against other regional winners across the UK.
