Story of The Day

A school bus carrying 19 students in Hampshire crashed into a river on 26 June, injuring 17 people—three seriously. Early reports suggest potential brake failure or a stuck accelerator, raising urgent questions about vehicle maintenance standards and driver safety procedures in school transport.

By using the AssessNET Safety Inspection module, operators can set up configured inspection templates that ensure essential checks like brakes and accelerator systems are performed regularly and automatically logged. When faults are detected or inspections become overdue, the system assigns corrective actions to designated staff and sends automated reminders, ensuring issues like brake failure are addressed before a bus hits the road.
